Join us in a discussion of Elizabeth Rush’s “Rising: Dispatches From the New American Shore” which explores the impact climate change and rising sea levels have on coastal communities. “Rising” was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in General Nonfiction. A limited number of copies of the book will be given away to participants. “Rising: Dispatches From the New American Shore” is the 2021 VCU Common Book, a program that allows first-year students the opportunity to explore complex social issue through an interdisciplinary lens.
